3. HS Diploma or Equivalency or Higher Edu. *Wonderlich OK (Required no later than class 3)
4. Immunizations or Declination

State Exam Requirements: No State Exam.

Minimum Age: Must be at least 17 years of age (applicants under the age of 18 require written permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to enroll).

Radiography: Our program includes the 6 hours of radiography training required by the GA Board of Dentistry. Upon graduation, students exceed the GA Board of Dentistry requirements with over 6 hours of radiology training.

Expanded Duties: Our program does NOT satisfy these requirements. Must have successful completion of EDDA course (and exam) pertaining to the specific expanded duties outlined on the certificate. (Each expanded duties course must be at least 4 hours). A dental assistant must receive additional education before performing phlebotomy, venipuncture procedures, conscious sedation, general anesthesia, and rubber cup “coronal” polishing.

Credentials on Completion: “Certificate of Completion” and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Certified through the American Heart Association.
